Derbyshire Dales Conservatives are encouraging residents to have their say on the Local Plan within the District.
Liberal Democrat-led Derbyshire Dales District Council has been reviewing its Local Plan, which is the document that decides where new development can be built across the District over the coming years. Residents’ voices must be heard.
Trust is low in the District Council following the Matlock Wolds and Hasker Farm debacles. Both incidences demonstrate what happens when local knowledge is ignored.
Housing and development continues to be a huge issue - more so since the Labour Government more than doubled Derbyshire Dales’ housing targets, whilst lowering targets in nearby cities such as Sheffield and Derby. This is totally wrong and shows an ignorance towards our rural areas.
