Cllrs Susan Hobson (County Cllr, Derwent Valley and District Cllr, Chatsworth), Alasdair Sutton (County Cllr, Bakewell) and Helen Froggatt (District Cllr, Calver and Longstone) joined local farmers at the Farmers To Action campaign in Bakewell yesterday.
Farmers to Action's "Trailer of Truth" has been touring the UK for people sign the trailer to showcase their support. The trailer will be at the Labour Party conference on Sunday 28th September to send a message to the Labour MPs and Labour Government that they must stop their assault on the countryside and its businesses.
We urge the Labour MP for Derbyshire Dales to finally do the right thing and urge the Government to re-think.
Because of Labour’s cruel Family Farm Tax, many local farmers here will be forced to sell up or scale back. It is Conservative Party policy to reverse this tax.
Derbyshire Dales Conservatives will always stand up for our rural communities.
