Game management plays an important role in the rural economy, including in Derbyshire Dales, generating income and employment in some of our most remote communities. Nationally, the figures are a contribution of £2 billion to the rural economy and supporting the equivalent of about 70,000 full-time jobs.
The preparation for such activities also delivers important benefits for wildlife and habitat conservation.
