Fuel is a huge and unavoidable expense for people, particularly in rural areas such as Derbyshire Dales. High petrol and diesel costs are a burden on both family and business budgets.
The prices of fuel are governed by the cost of crude oil and also by currency fluctuations, which have been affected by the Referendum result.
The Government continued to freeze fuel duties in the 2016 Budget, and this will have a positive effect on economic growth.
